Bubble masks are wash-off treatments that contain oxygenating ingredients which activate into a fluffy foam-bubble texture when exposed to air on the skin. The bubbles physically lift dirt, sebum and dead cells from pores while delivering active ingredients to the skin. The oxygenating action also has a mild stimulating effect that supports circulation and brings a fresh, awake glow to dull skin. Bubble masks are particularly satisfying as a self-care ritual — the bubbling effect is fun, visible and engaging, making them popular as TikTok-shareable spa moments.

Apply a thin, even layer of the mask to clean, dry skin (NOT wet skin — water will dilute the actives and prevent the bubbling effect). Within 30–60 seconds, the mask will start to foam and bubble into a fluffy white foam across the face. Leave for 5–10 minutes to allow the bubbles to deep-cleanse pores and the actives to deliver their benefits. Massage gently in circular motions for an additional cleansing effect, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use 1–2 times per week as a treatment step. Pair with a hydrating serum and moisturiser after rinsing.

Choose the variant based on your skin concern. The Red Rice Bubble Deep Mask focuses on brightening dull skin — red rice extract is naturally rich in antioxidants, vitamin E and brightening compounds that even tone and add glow over consistent use. The Holy Basil Bubble Deep Mask focuses on pore care and clarifying — holy basil (tulsi) has documented antibacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits that help purify clogged pores and calm breakouts. Many users alternate between the two based on weekly needs: Red Rice for glow boost, Holy Basil for clarifying days.

The bubble masks contain active ingredients that may feel tingly or slightly fizzy on application — this is the oxygenating effect, not necessarily irritation. For very sensitive, rosacea-prone or reactive skin, patch-test inside the elbow for 48 hours before applying to the full face. If you experience burning, redness or discomfort, rinse off immediately. The masks are generally suitable for most skin types when used as directed (1–2 times per week), but they're not the gentlest cleansing option — for fragile skin, a cream or gel mask is a safer choice.

After rinsing the bubble mask, skin is freshly exfoliated and primed to absorb actives more effectively. Follow with: a hydrating toner or essence to replenish moisture; a treatment serum (vitamin C, niacinamide, peptides) for targeted benefits; a moisturiser to seal in hydration; and SPF50+ in the morning (essential, since freshly exfoliated skin is more UV-sensitive). Don't use stronger actives (retinol, high-percentage AHA/BHA) on the same evening as a bubble mask, since the combined exfoliation can over-stress the skin barrier.
